36daysoftype #7

Client: Personal project
Year: 2020

36days is a project that invites designers, illustrators and graphic artists to give their particular view on the signs from our alphabet. 36 days of restless creativity, in which participants are challenged to design a letter or number for each day, resulting in an overall view about the ability to represent the same sign from different perspectives. A project that aims to create a space for creation around typography and its endless graphic possibilities.

I have based my typography series inspired by the Op Art movement and its outstanding artists. Op Art works are abstract, with many better known pieces created in black and white. Typically, they give the viewer the impression of movement, hidden images, flashing and vibrating patterns, or of swelling or warping.

Where I highlight great artists such as: Franco Grignani, Bridget Riley, Sol leWitt, Victor Vasarely, Richard Anuszkiewicz, Marina Apollonio, Ludwig Wilding, Julio Le Parc, etc...
